sallie [at] author-izer [dot] com

I confess, I’m one of those people who prefers e-mail to telephones, but I’m always happy to get calls from prospective clients. (During civilized hours, please. I wake up early and go to bed early.)

However you want to get in touch with me first, what I normally do after we’ve had an initial conversation is set up an appointment to meet in person or by Skype video to discuss your project in more detail. Then, if you want to proceed, we make out a more detailed scope of work and a contract, I collect an initial deposit, and we get to work. (The contract phase can be longer and more complex with corporate clients, but normally I try to keep things as simple as possible; I just like to have enough in writing to ensure everyone is clear what we’re supposed to be doing, what the outcome is supposed to be, when it’s supposed to be done, and what the payment schedule is.)

You can use the handy Tungle.me widget below to schedule an appointment. Note that just because I don’t have an appointment showing doesn’t mean I’m not working, since I do most of my work at home. If I’m occupied with something critical, I’ll have the phone on Do Not Disturb, but I’ll return your message as soon as I get it.
